Day 1: Setup and listening.

  • 11:15am - Explanation of the project.Loading project in Pro Tools from external Hard Disk. Discussion.
  • 11:30am - Checking I/O setup.Desk status: MIX.Checking output levels.
  • 12:30am - Discussion.
  • 1:00pm - Lunch Break
  • 2:00pm - Synchronization. Creating project tape on SSL computerListening to tracks and naming channels. Creating cue points.SSL computer navigation.

  • 3:15pm - Focused listening.VCA assignment.Mono mixing: recording reference rough mix back into Pro Tools.

  • 5:15pm - Panning and stereo mixing. Level adjustment.

  • 11:45pm - The concept of automation. Automation modes.
  • 12:30pm - Absolute mode. First pass and Cuts review.

  • 2:15pm - Touch mode. Second pass.
  • 2:30pm - Dynamic mixing 1. Discussions.
